≪ There’s less than a month left until the application deadline! ≫

Every year, the town of Higashikawa in Hokkaido, together with the world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma, hosts a furniture design competition for young people from all over the world.
The theme of the 6th competition is “Quiet furniture”, and students aged 30 or under are eligible to participate. The deadline for entries is 12:00 noon (Japan Standard Time) on September 30, 2026. Ten works will be selected from among the entries, and the winning works will be determined after the final judging held in Higashikawa in March 2027.
